Covid - 19 Health & Safety Requirements for working from my studio and remotely at your venue

In accordance with Government requirements, you will be required to provide Track and Trace information for any person having makeup / hair services on your wedding day. You will be emailed a separate link for you to enter the details of your bridal party. These should be provided at least 30 days prior to your wedding. The information will be held electronically and disposed of in line with Government guidance.

Appointments At My Studio - please read and follow the guidelines below to ensure the health & safety of everyone during your appointment

If you or any member of your household is feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of coronavirus (Covid-19), do not attend your appointment. Call me to re-schedule.

If I or any member of my household is feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of coronavirus, I will call you to reschedule your appointment. I have already had my first covid vaccination.

The studio may look a little different to normal. All photographs and decorations have been removed to aid cleaning and sanitisation. Only the items required to carry out your appointment safely, will be available.

The studio will be well ventilated: even in cooler weather I shall have the window open, so you may choose to dress appropriately.

Key touch points in the studio and other common areas such as the bathroom, will be sanitised prior to your appointment and after use by anyone in the household.

Please attend your appointment alone. Due to the size of the studio it is much easier to keep to social distancing rules if just two people (you & I ) are in the studio. However, if you have booked a trial for you and a guest, please check that this can proceed as planned.

Additional trials can be accommodated for you or other members of the bridal party but again they must attend their appointment alone.

If attending your trial appointment alone, you may use the studio wifi to video call a family member or friend as appropriate.

You are not required to wear a face covering or mask on arrival and for the duration of the appointment. However, I will be working directly in front of you at close quarters when applying eye makeup. You may choose to wear a mask for the duration of this service and then remove it when I start to apply products to the rest of your face.

I shall be wearing appropriate PPE as recommended by the Government.

You will be asked to sanitise your hands on arrival to the studio (or you may wash your hands if you prefer).

I will be unable to provide drinks at this time. Should you need a drink please bring your own preferably in a disposable cup or bottle. No food is allowed in the studio.

After each appointment the makeup / hair area will be cleaned and tools sanitised as appropriate.

Each client will have a new, clean set of makeup brushes for use on their face only.

If you have a cold sore please cover it with a cold sore patch. Please advise me immediately if you or a member of the bridal party have an eye infection. Open wounds such as spots that have been picked or cuts to your skin will not be covered with makeup.

At this time I will be unable to provide hair accessories or veils for you to try on during your appointment. If you already have those, please bring them with you to your appointment.

I will not be providing blow dry services at this time. All hair appointments are for dry hair styling only. If you arrive with wet hair you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.

Tattoo coverage services have been paused for the moment.

Working On Location - please read and follow the guidelines below to ensure the safety of you, your bridal party and myself during your bridal preparations

I shall require a separate room at the venue, to work from for the duration of your bridal preparations. This will enable me to work safely as per Government Guidelines. Any additional cost for the supply of this room will be the clients responsibility. Please do not allocate a room that has a friend or relative currently residing in it as I will need access to the room potentially up until the time you leave the venue for your ceremony.

You may be asked to limit the number of people in the room to myself and the client who is currently in receipt of makeup / hair services.  If the room is large enough to accommodate social distancing, then an additional guest may be permitted and they may be asked to wear a face mask.

Each member of the bridal party will be allocated an appointment time. Please ensure everyone arrives promptly for their appointment.

If you or any member of your household / bridal party is feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of coronavirus (Covid-19), do not attend your appointment.

If I or any member of my household is feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of coronavirus, I will call you to discuss options.

If adequate ventilation in the room isn’t provided by the venue, then any windows / doors will be opened to ensure an adequate flow of air during everyones appointment. Even in cooler weather, I may have the windows / door open, so you may choose to dress appropriately.

Key touch points in the room (and bathroom if available) will be sanitised prior to your appointment and after use by anyone in the bridal party.

Please attend your appointment alone. We need to keep to social distancing rules where possible. The only exception to this may be to allow your photographer / videographer access to staged bridal prep photos for a short period of time.

You will be asked to sanitise your hands on arrival to the room (or you may wash your hands if you prefer if bathroom facilities are available).

No food or drinks shall be permitted during your makeup / hair appointment.

Bridal party clients should have inspiration images available on their phone to show their stylist at the start of their appointment.

I will not be providing blow dry services at this time. All hair appointments are for dry hair styling only. If you arrive at the room with wet hair you will be asked to leave to dry it. Attending your appointment with wet hair puts the whole bridal preparations at risk and you may cause the bride to be late for her ceremony.

All waste generated through the makeup / hair styling process will be bagged and disposed of appropriately.

After each appointment the makeup / hair area will be cleaned and tools sanitised as appropriate. No one is to enter the room during this cleaning.

Each client will have a new, clean set of makeup brushes for use on their face only.

I will be unable to accept any last minute bookings for cash on the day. You can add any bookings up to the week before your wedding as long as these services are paid for in advance.

Makeup touch up’s or hair tweaks will be done once everyone in the bridal party has been been styled. These will be conducted in the room where appointments have taken place, one client at a time.

Each client must supply their own lipstick / lip gloss. I can not permit the use of the same lip product (sharing) by multiple people as this may aid the transfer of the coronavirus.

If you have a cold sore please cover it with a cold sore patch. Please advise me immediately if you or a member of the bridal party have an eye infection. Open wounds such as spots that have been picked or cuts to your skin will not be covered with makeup.

Tattoo coverage services have been paused for the moment.

Placement of the brides veil can take place in a suitable room other than the makeup / hair preparation room. The room should be vacated by everyone except bride, myself and photographer / videographer.

Sadly hugs can’t be supplied at this time.

Thank you for your support with ensuring the health & safety of you, your bridal party and your suppliers. I appreciate it may feel strange and not necessarily the bridal styling experience you had dreamed of but every effort has been made to make you comfortable with the process. As Government guidance changes, I will adapt my processes accordingly.
